The annual NCHEA Conference and Curriculum Fair (C&CF) is a tremendous opportunity for homeschool families to encourage and be encouraged, to receive valuable information from the speakers in more than 40 workshops/presentations and to research curriculum options and other educational materials. Each year, the C&CF with its more than 45 vendors and 10 speakers provide homeschool families with the tools to enhance the education of their children. The C&CF is designed to address the interests and needs of a wide spectrum of attendees, from those considering homeschooling to the veteran with junior or senior high school students. The registration fee funds the event as well as expenses to monitor legislation and fund annual NCHEA administrative costs such as maintaining the website, insurance and postage.

Does NCHEA Monitor the Unicameral and the U.S. Congress?
The NCHEA actively monitors the Nebraska Unicameral, while it is in session, for legislation/bills that may affect parental rights or homeschooling. What are "Legislative Alerts?"
NCHEA leadership utilizes Legislative Alerts to members when the NCHEA believes it is extremely important that members contact their legislator with their position on legislation. We use the NCHEA News and the U.S mail, if time permits, to distribute information to NCHEA members so they can contact officials at the state or national level. The NCHEA uses support group leaders and contact people for a statewide telephone and e-mail alert network when time is of the essence in responding to legislative events. The response from members has been good and your calls and letters have affected legislation.
