NCHEA Home Educators 2010 Legislative Day NCHEA is committed to serving home educators through on-going relationships with local, state and national legislators. You are invited to join us by getting to know your senator and learning about the legislative process in Nebraska's Unicameral.

Bring the whole family to the Capitol for a full afternoon of ...

  • Learning how to honor and encourage your senators
  • Hearing about the latest bills and issues
  • Investigating how a bill becomes a law
  • Receiving resource materials
  • Observing the Legislature in session,  part of a legislative hearing, or touring the Capitol

NCHEA Home Educators Legislative Day will be packed with civics adventures and learning for all! NCHEA also desires to have families contact as many senators as possible that day to build relationships and make positive impressions.

New this Year: Families will make their own appointments with their senators.  Enjoy a quick meeting with your senator and share your vision for home education. Please bring a note of thanks to your senator for his/her service to the State of Nebraska and your family, dressed in their Sunday best. Follow the guidelines in the links below to learn how to contact your senator, make an appointment and represent Homeschooling in an effective and winsome way.
